展覧会 『出来事の地図』｜Exhibition “A Map of Events”

ごあいさつ

その土地や人の経験を、より鮮やかに美しく感じられるような建築をつくりたい。
またその建築が、その土地や人にあたらしく豊かな経験をもたらすものでありたい。だからこそ私たちは、知ることとつくることを一緒にすすめています。
土地や人に宿る無数のバラバラな物語たちの中には、すぐにわかるものもあれば、顕在化していないものもあります。探り続け、その関係を眺めること。それらの学びの先に見つける建築を紹介します。

Introduction

We seek to make architecture that allows the experiences of a place and its people to be felt more vividly and beautifully.

We also want architecture to create new ways of experiencing the place and its people.

For this reason, we develop architecture through the ongoing act of learning from the place and giving form to what we discover.

Within the countless fragmented stories embedded in places and people, some are immediately perceptible, while others remain unarticulated.

By continuing to explore these stories and observe their relationships, we arrive at moments of learning.
Here, we present the architecture found through that process.

展示について

建築は、その土地や人の関係が織りなす流れのひとつの断面です。さまざまなプロジェクトの意味は、その土地や人の関係が織りなす流れそのものが、より豊かで自由であるように、手を加えることではないでしょうか。
この展示は、建築の流れの中で催される、廃材と資材たちのパーティーです。現在工事中のY+W邸の工事から出された廃材と、これから施工や活用される資材によってつくられています。パーティーが終わると、廃材と資材たちは、それぞれ次の役目を果たす場へと流れの中に帰っていきます。
この展示は、建築の流れの中に会場と私たちが巻き込まれることで、それぞれのプロジェクトにより豊かで自由な関係を発見することはできないだろうかという試みです。

About the exhibition

Architecture is a cross-section within the flow of relationships between a place and its people.

The meaning of each project may lie not in reshaping that flow, but in making careful interventions so that it becomes richer and more open.

This exhibition is a gathering of discarded and newly prepared materials, held within the ongoing flow of architecture.

It is composed of waste materials generated during the construction of the Y+W House, currently under way, together with materials that will soon be installed or put to use.

When the gathering comes to an end, these materials return to the flow, each moving on to fulfill its next role.

By allowing both the exhibition space and ourselves to be drawn into this architectural flow, the exhibition asks whether more open and abundant relationships can be discovered within each project.
