The boundaries of the site—formed by fences, planting, and buildings—were created or left unbuilt through mutual response, adjusting to relationships with neighboring plots and adjacent roads. Unlike the clearly defined boundaries found in planned urban developments, these boundaries are situational and improvised.
Through observing these edges, we were able to see relationships rooted in everyday life, the natural environment, and the people who live here—relationships that quietly shape the boundary conditions of the site.
