Places Where Interaction Naturally Emerges
丸子の里で働く職員さんに、1日の中でどこで／どんなことをしているかをお聞きし、シートに書き溜めていきました。
そのシートを持ち帰って場所と活動ごとに分類してみると、主な介護としてのケアは、個室やリビング、浴室で行われていることがわかりました。一方で廊下では、布巾を畳む職員さんと利用者さんが居合わせたり、トイレにいく途中にふと会話が生まれるような、自然な交流が生まれていました。
We interviewed staff members working at Maruko no Sato, asking where they spend time and what kinds of activities they carry out over the course of a day, and recorded this information on sheets.
When these sheets were brought back and sorted by place and activity, it became clear that primary caregiving tasks tend to take place in private rooms, living spaces, and bathrooms.
In contrast, in corridors, where staff members place chairs, where residents and staff pause together, or where brief conversations arise while moving to and from the restroom—natural, spontaneous interactions were observed.
