アートラボはしもと再整備プロジェクト｜Art Lab Hashimoto

マンションの展示場ギャラリーを再利用して、さがみはら地域の”活動の交差点”として活動を展開してきたアートラボはしもと。

そこでは、大学生や近所の子供たち、商店街の店主などさまざまな興味・特技・目的をもつ多様なプレイヤーが、アートをきっかけに土地の資源を発見し、みんなで手を動かす中で、この土地でしか生まれない物語を編み出しています。

このプロジェクトは、老朽化により取り壊されるアートラボはしもとを再整備するものです。

みんなの「つくる」「過ごす」をきっかけに、まち・ひと・出来事が豊かに混ざりあってゆく、100変化するアートラボを考えています。

公園のような、ラウンジのような、工房のような、シアターのような……。

美術館というプログラムから抜け出したときに起きる、多様な活動の連続が、長い時間軸のなかで、出来事の立面としてまちの風景となっていくことを目指します。

Art Lab Hashimoto has developed its activities by repurposing a former model-room gallery of a condominium as a “crossroads of local activities” for the Sagamihara community.

By discovering the resources of the land and engaging in hands-on making together, the project has been weaving stories that could only emerge from this particular place.

This project aims to redevelop Art Lab Hashimoto, which is scheduled to be demolished due to aging.

We are envisioning an “ever-changing Art Lab” where people’s acts of creating and spending time together become the starting point for a rich mixture of town, people, and events.

A place that is like a park, like a lounge, like a workshop, like a theater…

By stepping outside the conventional museum program, we aim for a continuous flow of diverse activities to gradually form the town’s landscape, a kind of “elevation of events” unfolding over a long span of time.
